My name is Chume Nwigwe. I am a former Lakehead Men's Basketball Alumni and current Assistant Coach.

Basketball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing basketball at the age of 4 and have always been in love with the game. 

​

Basketball has taken me to many places, some to mention are playing for the Nigerian U16 Boys National team in 2015, I played at a Junior College in Midland, Texas in 2018, and from 2019-2024 I played for Lakehead University.

Basketball is ingrained in my blood, now that I have finished playing, I have a passion for coaching and skill development. Mentoring the next generation of basketball players and teaching what I have learned over the 20 years I have played basketball is a privilege and a passion of mine.
